Welcome!

My name is Jean-Baptiste (JB) Deloffre, and I am a full-time independent Certified Flight Instructor.

My goal is to share my passion and help you become a safe and proficient aviator, whether you are looking to do this as a hobby or if you want to become a professional pilot.

I provide flight instruction services in any Cessna 172 Skyhawk of the Deer Valley Skyhawks Club, which offers a great choice of aircraft at Deer Valley Airport (KDVT) in Phoenix, Arizona.

Discovery Flights

Your first flight lesson during which you will take the control of a Cessna 172 Skyhawk and log the flight time towards your required flight training!

About me

I live in Phoenix, Arizona with my wife, my two children and my dog.

I've been flying since 2019, and I've been instructing since 2024.

I have always been passionate about aviation and after 15 years working in sales, I caught the flying bug during a discovery flight above Denver, Colorado, where we used to live. I decided to change my career path and make a living from my passion.

After passing all the required pilot certificates over the course of a couple years, balancing family life, work, flight training and studying, I became a Certified Flight Instructor.

As someone who has done all of his flight training while working full-time, I understand the challenges many students face with the traditional flight school environment. For this reason, I want to offer a more personalized approach to flight training. I became a flight instructor because I love aviation and teaching, and I am committed to seeing my students succeed.
